Sunny Dhillon

Sunny is a regular consumer tech and entertainment industry speaker and thought leader, having been featured on Bloomberg Television, and in Variety, VentureBeat, Forbes, TechCrunch, ReCode, and others. Sunny has been an industry speaker at the White House, United Nations, Zurich Film Festival, Tokyo CEDEC gaming conference, Beijing Global Innovator Conference, London’s AR/VR World, and Istanbul Webrazzi Conference, among other events.

He regularly presents research and thoughts on how AI, AR, and blockchain will disrupt incumbent industries and works closely with startups raising seed capital in the space, focused on emerging content businesses, ecommerce, digital brands, and blockchain technology. Sunny cofounded Signia Venture Partners, an $85m VC fund in San Francisco with the cofounder of Playdom, which went on to become Disney Interactive. Sunny’s fund is backed by a couple of LA movie studios, a Chinese entertainment firm, the Smithsonian Museum, and others. Signia will make between 5-8 investments per year, investing between $500k and $3m for an initial investment.
